My parent opinion....

My parents, they have lots of work to do. I think that they have spent half or more of their life time with their work. I see my parents working and I just can’t stop wondering if my parents have any friends. I asked my parents if they have some friends because I just don’t remember seeing my parents hang out with their friends. My mum answered that she does have friends but life has to go on, people have to find money for the family and life is not just something to hang around. So I think that my mum just taught me not to use my life with nonsense things. I am the kind of person that like to hang out with friends, so I don’t actually understand my parents how can they go a long time without seeing their friends.
Anyway that’s just my parents’ life style. My parents, they always care and worry about me. They care and like to know how my social life at school is and how is everything that I have been involved in because they want to make sure that I am in the right position and in a good community. Sometimes I don’t understand my parents, why they have to obstruct what I want to do or like to do. But then I understand them when the results come out after I did want I want to do and it was wrong. So I know that I have to believe and listen to my parents. My parents are the two people who love and care about me the most; they always want the best thing for me.

How do you feel when you do something special or important?

In my life there are many experiences that I have done that are special or important. The special or important time for me is when I have to do something in public or with many people watching such as when i gave the speech in the assembly , singing in front of a large audience and being the leader for something.
In secondary school I have been in the music band and I’m not the professional singer,so Ihave never got used to standing in front of a large audience. At the end of the year the music band had to present the concert, so I had to be singing in the concert. There were my friends that have to sing in the concert too. When it wasn’t my turn to sing I felt normal and didn’t feel excited or nervous, but when it got to my turn I couldn’t sit still, my hands , my legs and my mouth shook because I was very nervous . I remember that when I was in Mathayom3 I had to sing the song that the King wrote. Before I got to the stage, Sompoi had to hold my hand and said something to give me the strength to make me feel less nervous. So then I felt a little bit better and have enough power to walk up to the stage. Anyway I still felt nervous and excited, those feelings took away my confidence and it took away my concentration in the song. When I sang, it came out very bad, wrong notes and wrong rhythm. I thought that the feeling of nervous and excitement made me do the special or important things badly, it covered e ability that I have. Even I knew that if I felt nervous or excited before I do something, it will take away my confidenceI still feel nervous and excited before i do something special or important

Culture

“Culture” is a big word that most people think that they understand. But if we asked them what your country's culture is, how would they answer that question. At first, I thought that I understood the word “Culture”. But Peter shown me the presentation of Tata Young music Video and he asked him if this is Thai culture? I was silent because I didn't know what to answer him. Tata Young is a Thai person, but how could we say that Tata young is not doing the right Thai culture because she wore sexy,little clothes. Peter told us about at the first time he came to Thailand, he went in to the village and saw a woman wore a bra walking around and no one really cared about it because it’s what normally people do. I knew that there are differences between Tata young and woman in the old village. So we can’t say it easily that is what the culture is. But I do know that Culture is the thing that can change by the time, the society and the people. It’s not the thing that will last forever and never change. Actually culture is always changing, but we just weren't really interested about it very much. In my opinion now, I think that the culture is a tradition and activities that people think that is the right thing to do. It’s not the thing that we receive from other culture in the world.
Last Saturday I went to Kao San Road and interviewed the foreigners and asked the question about the everyday activities in their country. First question that I asked is about wearing the shoes in the house. In Thailand we normally take our shoes off before get it to the house, in the countries like Switzerland, Canada, Ireland, Germany and Holland they wore the shoes in the house or maybe they wore slippers. I think that just only the everyday activities are different, so there are many things that are different between countries's cultures. So the best thing to do is not say what culture is right or wrong because different cultures have different ideas of what is right or what is wrong.

What society expects of ME

I always hear my parents saying “concentrate when you are learning at school, be a good girl” something like that. I’m sure that everyone will have heard of these sentences. All parents want their child to be good, be perfect and successful and that because they are our parents, they’re always worrying about us. Even if we are 30 or50 years old we will always be their little son or daughter.
There are many people that expects things from me. So I would give an example and talk about my parents expecting things from me. My parents expect me to be a good girl, be a nice girl, and be a smart girl and everything that will be good for me. I know that they love me, but sometimes I have my own idea and sometime they just think differently from me. I’m angry when they do not allow me to do things that I want to do. Like when I asked them if I can go to a concert with my friends, they have always said no. Of course the reason is that it is too dangerous for a girl to go concert. So I have missed lots of concerts that I wanted to go to.
My parents want me to get in the good university like Chulalongkorn University, Sillapakorn University or Thammasart University. All those universities are the top universities in Thailand. That’s made me have a lot of pressure. I’m afraid that I can’t do like what they expect of me. My mum want me to get in Hotel management at Sillapakorn University. It's not that I don’t like hotel management, but I’m just not sure about myself yet. I also want to go with Interior design and something about art. So I was getting a little bit worried about that. Anyway I will find the way out.We all know that parents love their children, but in my opinion as a child I think that sometimes parents should let go of their children. Let the children decide what they want to do and parents just give them the suggestion, not just decid everything for them. If they have done the wrong thing, they will learn from their experience. So don’t pressure your children and give a chance for them instead.

Young people today.

I’m one of the young people or teenager. I have heard lots of comments about teenagers today. Some might be a good side of teenagers, but some are the bad side that we don’t like to hear. But we just can’t avoid it.
Teenagers are the big group of people. It’s the group that is the future of the world. There is a sentence that said children today are the adults in the future. I think the sentence is absolutely true. The teenagers at present will be the future of the country or maybe the world.
There are many opinions for teenagers today. In my opinion teenagers today are very talented and creative. There are many teenagers whoi got the trophy from their ability in many ways. They have their own lifestyle. Some might be doing music, art, sport or some might like to study. Teenagers have lots of new thinking. I think they can do many things if they wanted and I think that they could be the good future for the country and the world. As we all know there are the good teenagers that are walking in the right way, but there many that are walking in the wrong way.
I think that everybody should give a hand for the teenagers that are blind or walking in the wrong way and should give some good praise for the teenagers that are doing the great thing.

Teenagers today are the adults in the future.

Me..Myself

Hi!
I would like to introduce my self as a girl who’s doing her best for English homework.

Everyone called me Jan or Kangtood because they said that my chin looked like ass, so that became my new name. Should I be proud of that? Anyway I’m a sporty girl who is not so thin and not so fat. I’m very talented in sports. I can play many sports but my favorite sport is Basketball. I’m a naughty girl who can not be calm so I am always active. Bouncing, dancing, jumping and running around all the time. The things that made me happy are my friends, I loved to stay with my friends chatting and laughing together. That’s just the part that I loved the most. Not just my friends that could make me happy there are also music, sport and singing that could make me happy too. I asked my friend “what type of person am I?” One of my friend say that Jan is a cheerful girl, fun and happy to be with. When I heard my friend say that I was very happy, I never knew that I can give the happiness to other people. I was very proud of myself.
In my free time I like to chat on msn, sing with the music, update the hi5, talking on the phone, shopping, play basketball and taking the photo. Taking the photo is my favorite activity. I’m not a professional photographer but I love the sound of the shutter and try to get some nice pictures. I love to decorate my life to be colorful and filled with happiness. That’s just little part that I can say about myself. (Jan) And it isn't easy to say something to describe yourself. I needed lots of time to ask myself and people to get what who I am ?
